The ideal engineer is a composite ... He is not a scientist, he is not a mathematician, he is not a sociologist or a writer; but he may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all of these disciplines in solving engineering problems.

This has been a slower week. I did not get as much accomplished as I would have liked to. I am still waiting for the finances between ATK and Checker Machine Inc. to be sorted out. It seems to be taking ages. Once we get the ball rolling on that, the frame should be fabricated in no time thanks to the new equipment I purchased.
I got a horizontal metal cutting bandsaw from Northern Tool and a Craftsmen drill press from Sears. I have already assembled the bandsaw. It came in a large crate as you can see below. Drill press is coming Wednesday.

Other than setting up my machine shop, I've been verifying and triple checking my designs. One other thing I forgot to mention; I've been making two dimensional blueprints for the welder to follow. Hopefully, it will be as easy as putting Legos together. I'm not going to completely reveal my blueprints to the public, but here is a glimpse of what 'Step 1' looks like.
